I would give it to (and probably purchase another for her sister Emma 4) Elle (6). Emma and Elle's mother lost the fight to breast cancer just over a year ago, and they don't have a mom to get things like this for them. They both love to dance and are just starting into Ballet.
I would give this necklace to Trudy, owner of Mendocino Ballet. She works around the clock with her students and puts in 24/7 to run her company. The benefit our community receives is undeniable! My daughter took ballet for 3 years,but then got into horses, but her best friend still takes ballet and does the Nutcracker every year so we see Trudy's work in action!

I would give it to my cousin's little girl. Kadence is four years old and has a rare form of infant scoliosis that she has had since birth. She is in a body cast almost 9 months out of the year. Her parents were able to find a dance company that was willing to work with the body cast, and now Kadence is able to be a little ballerina:)

With this piece around her neck she would not only feel the love for ballet inside of her but she would be wearing it close to her heart.Also ballet has made her such a strong woman, we both believe that the trials she overcame in dancing have built her into a strong, healthy, charismatic, beautiful, woman. As there are no little ballerinas in our house, I'd love to give one to my sweet niece, Beatrice, who loves all things ballet.
Our oldest son is adopted and two years ago he met his birth sister for the first time. Her adoptive parents have given her ballet lessons since she was a very little girl (she's now a teenager).
