I just love your jewelry - it is beautiful and so unique! I got a necklace from my sister for my birthday & I have gotten so many compliments on it. There are SEVERAL other pieces that I'd like to add...! : ) Our spring break will be chaotic with everybody home from school. Our kids are 6, 4 1/2, 3, and 19 months old. Everybody home together is a busy crew!! Hopefully spring break will entail pretty days to play outside, lots of laughing, fun with cousins, and making fun memories! Enjoy your time away!

I am going to dedicate our spring break to some arts and crafts fun with my daughter. I have found so many fun projects to do from so many different and wonderful blogs, that I can't wait to share them with her. Everyday will be a different craft, photograph flip books, felt cuff bracelets, dough necklaces, painting, and so on!! We're two crafty chicas, so I know the time will just fly by! I hope you have a wonderful break with your family.

Not sure this spring break will be much of a break, but I am happy to at least sleep in for once! Here's to hoping our orange blossoms pop soon too, a week of sleeping in and the world smelling like heaven isn't half bad!

We're not in the spring break years yet! Our "spring break" is going to be Dr appointments and surgery consults :( I think we'll try and squeeze in a fun trip to the aquarium, our little girl just loves to watch fish!!

I love your work!! Have a fun vaca!

Planning on, painting my little sister's room (from lime green to a wedgewood blue - transforming from a early pre-teen room to a classy teen room) and going for my first spa day!

I'm going to try to finish my first attempt at hand-quilting a quilt. Also, thinking of tackling an awesome-looking brownie recipe from the new Cook's Illustrated. Not expecting to be the hand-picked winner here... Thanks for the giveaway.

We are going to build sand castles on the beach with the boys. First Spring Break we've had to go as a family so we are taking them to the aquarium, soak up time on the coast and just be together as a family away from computers & our jobs!

We will be having 2 birthday parties over Spring Break...one for my oldest who will be 10 and my youngest(right now) who will be five. We are also going to have a 3D/4D sonogram of our 4th baby. Can't wait for all of us to "see" our newest family member!

I wish my Spring Break fun plans were more creative, but this working mommy is going to confine herself to the house to focus on potty training Baby Girl.

We took our Spring Break early. We went to Disneyland, Wild Animal Park, San Diego Zoo and Legoland last month. So we are going to have a stay-cation and go snowboarding at our local resort that we have season passes to. :) Lots of movies and snuggling too.

Ohhhh, my beloved spring break! Seeing as I'm a teacher, I love it for two reasons....time away from kids (my students) and time with kids (my own)! We're going to be spending a night in a local hotel to swim and hang out and going to grandparents for a couple of days. I'm trying to think of a "theme" for the other days to make them a little more interesting for my three active munchkins!!!

Jo said...

My baby isn't in school yet, so it's always spring break at our house! We do have plans to go to the zoo next week, though!

Chacoy said...

This might not sound like a lot of fun to a lot of people, but me and my son are going to work on his science fair project.
The reasons that I think it is going to be fun:
we will be together
Playing in the dirt
learning cool things
we will be together
Thanks for the opprotunity and have fun!

We're not really on spring break (monkey is only in preschool), but we're going to celebrate spring by attempting to tap our tree and make syrup. I'm not sure if it's a sugar maple, but we'll still have fun!!

Lisa P said...

I'm taking my daughter for allergy testing-not so fun, but necessary and with a full-time job may be my only chance without me missing work and her missing school. Then for the fun we are going to The Great Wolfe Lodge in Mason, Ohio. It's a huge indoor waterpark with kids themed rooms. We'll stay in the kids cabin room where the kiddos get their own cabin inside the room with bunk beds and a TV while we get a fireplace and balcony-not to shabby for a quick getaway. You get 2 days at the waterpark with only one night of staying.

Well, seeing as I just got back from the ER with my 7 year old, I'm hoping for a fun, peaceful, uneventful week! One staple in the head is enough for this week. The basketball goal blew over and caught her right on the head. Now on to the fun. Zoo, Botanic Gardens and a picnic at the lake while my oldest daughter plays in a national high school basketball tournament two states away. In between all that, dh and I are gutting our bathroom to the rafters, retiling and totally remodeling. I might need a vacation after all that! ha ha

To celebrate spring break and this gorgeous AZ weather we are experiencing, I'm heading out to the desert to my grandpa's ranch with my family for a dutch oven breakfast and some good ole' shot gun shooting. My 3-year-old daughter and I have been working on an exciting craft that will culminate the week of spring break. First we took several sheets of white paper and sewed them together down the middle to make her own "book." Then went to the paint store and collected free color chip sample cards in a variety of colors. We brought them home and glued each color onto a different page of her book. During spring break, we're going to take walks every day to collect things from nature that match her paint samples, like flowers, leaves and grass, etc, and we will glue these onto the correct color pages. When it's finished, she will have made her own nature/color book from scratch.

I'm spending spring break prepping for my son's 8th birthday party next weekend. The King & his Knights of the Rectangular Table will be designing shields and building catapults. They'll rescue a princess & go on a quest to find a dragon's nest. They'll break open geodes to see whether they've discovered "real" dragon's eggs. Then we'll use their catapults to storm the castle (fire marshmallows at the cake). Lots to do to & a cake to plan. Don't know who's more excited, me or him!

Chrissy said...

Hmmm, we already had our spring break. Not much excitement, but we did take in a Finnigan's at an Irish Pub along with some fish and chips right before a fan-tabulous John Mayer concert!

WOW! luck you! spring break is not here yet for us. But when it does come (end of March) we will probably stay local. My birthday lands on Easter this year so we will hit up the local Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ steaks for dinner. We are saving money for Disneyland at the end of May. We got 4 FREE vouchers for "Give A Day, Get A Disney Day" and we will upgrade those to a 2-Day park hopper:-)
Have Fun on your vacation!

My kids aren't in school yet, so Spring Break isn't that big of a deal.

Well, I'm a first grade teacher and my spring break isn't for a few weeks. However, my husband (also a teacher) has spring break a week after mine! Our breaks never seem to overlap! So it looks like we can't take a trip together so I am planning some much needed time doing things for me. Sometimes it's hard finding time for me. I also feel like I'm taking care of others all the time (which I do really love doing) But I would love to find time to do the things I love like scrapbook, actually print and hang our wedding pictures, sew a new table runner, or make a new quilt. Hopefully some of things can happen! Oh and I hope you have a fabulous time on your trip!

I wanted to say I am new to your site this week and I love your jewelry. It original, unique, and beautiful. It reminds me a little bit of Robert Redfords jewlery, Sundance..

This spring break I am hoping to get my husband and daughter away up north to my father in laws cabin for some much needed time away. My husband works over 40 hours a week, has a tax business on the side so as you know he is busy this time of year, and he is getting his MBA. I am so proud of him. I don't know how he does it :). I know he is doing it for us and I am grateful for him and feel very blessed. He bought a boat last year and hasn't had a chance to enjoy it so this spring, I am hoping he gets a much deserved break.

We're going to take all three kids to the zoo--our youngest is completely visually impaired but just "found" her sense of touch and is LOVING it. We learn at home so our spring break will be traveling with my husband for work in Wyoming and Utah. Since we get to choose when our break happens this year it will be the middle of April. We hope to stop by Yellowstone, should be fun.

We are going to sit around the house and be lazy. We are going to build all the forts two kids can handle and set up our tent right in the living room (thats what you do when your parents are hotel people and not camping people). We are going to laugh, eat popscicles, play golf, sleep in, and just have FUN.

I am spending the time with my wonderful 3 month old little girl. She amazes me everyday with the new things she is doing and I do not want to miss anything!

I am traveling to MN to meet my newest nephew Kyler! He is about 2 months old and has been keeping my sister pretty worried with his many health complications. I can't wait to hug my sister and hold her sweet baby boy!

Since my babies are only 3 and 1 we don't technically have a spring break BUT the weather is warming up and we plan to spend A LOT of time outside! We are fortunate enough to live in a city with a wonderful zoo so we'll be there often, too. I think they have some energy to burn, I am looking forward to spring!!! I hope you all enjoy your week together!!!

I have an amazing staycation planned with my three kiddos. We are going to make super hero capes this weekend, then every day we are going to put them on and pretend that we are flying to far away places. We are going to keep a journal about all of our pretend missions, then at the end of the week we will send our journal, some pictures, and a super hero cape to our six year old daughter who is waiting for us in China.

I've planned a week of fun for several of our close friends:
Day 1: moms and kids to garden center for lesson on growing vegetables
Day 2: moms and kids to my house to make bird feeders, a picnic, and making homemade ice cream in coffee cans
Day 3: moms hired 3 babysitters to take kids to indoor pool for pool games and crafts with a swimming instructor/fine arts teacher (2 hours) while moms get manicures/pedicures
Day 4: Cook-out in evening (weather permiting) with moms, dads, kids
Day 5: Dads took off work to golf while moms take kids to indoor waterpark

We have a busy week planned!

I am going to be hanging out with my family because they are off! I will be going to second hand shops with my mom to find some clothes. Also, my mom, sister and brother are in a play, "Gypsy" and I will be seeing they're awesome acting. So I am excited! I am also going to be learning to crochet!

Unfortunately my husband works. We LOVE spring break though because that means more time with the hubby/daddy. My middle turkey turns 3 this week so we will be celebrating with a monster truck cake. He is very excited which makes me VERY excited!

I plan to make my daughter a handful of cute new dresses, and jammie bottoms for my two boys. And if I get really carried away, I would LOVE to make slip covers for my dining chairs. (My mom has offered to take my 3 young children for a couple of spring break days. Lots of park time when they return.) I ADORE your beautiful jewelry! Enjoy Shamu!

Hmm, first of all just thinking of SPRING makes me all giddy and excited!!! The last bits of our snow is melting this weekend and I cannot wait to SEE some signs of spring! As for our break, the BEST thing is NO SCHOOL for my cherubs...we'll be at home but I'm hoping to squeeze in lots of snuggling & reading, trail walks with puppy, enjoying some SUNSHINE, playtime with family and friends, and maybe just a bit of organizing around the house!! Here's to a FAB Spring break...I hope y'all enjoy yours!! :)

I'm writing past stories and the one of spring break I remember is my daughter giving a bath to our dalmatian Daisy with Red food coloring so when I got home I had a pink and black pokadot dog. I'm just sorry I do not have any pictures of it.
Would love to get that giveaway and get " i'd pick you" for this daughter of mine who is now 24.

I have 3 boys. When we have Spring Break at our house we will have Adventure Days. Each day will have its own theme. For example -
Dinosaur Day: watch Dinosaur Train, go to the Rock & Science Museum to see fossils, march around like dinosaurs to the "we are the dinosaurs" song, make and eat "dinosaur food" (no-bake cookies with the ingredients labeled as dirt=cocoa, crushed bones=sugar, etc)
Reading Day: have a read-a-thon, complete with a visit to the library, yummy treats, and pillows (and most definitely a pillow fight!).

I figure that if we're too tight on money to travel somewhere exotic, we will still be able to make Spring Break fun and full of memories as a family!

I'm an expat American living in England, this spring break we are flying to San Fracisco (where I grew up) to visit some close friends, take our 6 year old to the Jelly Belly Factory (he is obsessed by the show How It's Made/Works on Discovery) .. after bumbling around all my old haunts (where I will probably blubber here and there while twitching from coffee overload) we will be flying to my parents in Northern Idaho for two weeks of pampering and coffee and getting all giddy at walking around Target, Safeway and the Mall... its not very exciting but we havent been to the US since last spring and its been a very very long year. I think I may be babbling now. thank you and good luck!

With a one year old our whole lives are one big beautiful spring break! But for all thoes of you with official spring breaks. . . We are going to spend the sunny days in the park watching the ducks swim in the pond with the koi fish, play in the sand and climb through the big green tunnel, lay on the grass and watch the clouds and planes fly by. On the rainy days we will stay in our PJ's, play with animals, build with plastic containers we save from yogurt and cottage cheese, eat yummy homemade chocolate pudding, and laugh.

I have three preschoolers so we don't really have Spring Break, but I am looking forward to spring! I plan to take the kids outside whenever the weather permits and soak up the sunshine! They are already excited because they were able to pull out their shorts and flip flops two days! We wake up hearing the birds chirping and with the sunshine streaming in- it's a great way to start the day! We are also making a trip to see the grandparents for the weekend. It's a great way to celebrate!

Each year on Spring Break, our family and extended family on both my side and my dh's side go out for dinner together. There can be pretty near to 20 of us! This year we are going to celebrate my youngest's 2nd birthday. Sniff, sniff. Good thing we're expecting again! :)

Our Spring break is not for another two weeks and we have decided that we will hope in the car, drive south and see where the road takes us! We will have to make up some sort of plan because when you cross into the US, the border patrols don't like it when you have no idea where you are going!!
Have a great break!!

I would sure love to win and get Grandma a necklace with the grand-kiddos names. She would love this and she deserves it!!

My school doesn't give us spring break. So I'll be working nights on my internship. Who needs spring break when you can deliver babies all night? I'm studying to become a midwife and I'm loving every moment of it! Seeing the joy on the faces of the new mums and dads makes me happier than any break can :)
