Well, we don't really have a spring break here. BUT my son is in preschool this year and this is his first "official" spring break week. So, he is going to go spend the night at his great-grandma's and while he is gone, Daddy and I are going to redo his bedroom! Paint and all. Such a fun surprise for him!

I love your jewlery. Hopefully one of my four kids will pick up on my hints to your web page.
My 6 year old granddaughter loves art. She's always asking if she can play with my crafts. my grandkids live with me so i will be watching them. I want to teach her how to make a book she can start journaling in. We will also attend the annual Ostrich festival in chandler az, the weather is going to be beautiful!

For spring break I will be traveling from California to San Antonio, TX to see my fiancĂ© graduate from his AIT training in the Army. I’m excited that he is finally graduating. To celebrate we will be going to the Alamo, the River Walk, and the Natural Bridge Caverns. Then it’s back to California for relaxation at Lake Tahoe. It should be an awesome week, I can’t wait!

We are planning a complete FAMILY OVERHAUL! We have recently realized certain things- we are in debt, unorganized and unconnected as a family. Therefore, we will take everything we have learned from fellow bloggers and put it into play. We will make organized binders on food and schedules and such. The kids need to know their chores, so on to a chore chart. Our house needs major renovations, but in the mean time, we have somehow neglected to make our house a home- we will hang pictures and use some paint we have to spruce up some areas in the home. We will get rid of clutter and throw out, giveaway or sell on ebay anything that is not being used!
We are strongly considering homeschooling. We will research, pray and ask if this is something we can really do.
We will get back on track as a family and strengthen the bonds between our 4 children as this is more important than any friend they could have.
We will enjoy each other and remember that we are truly blessed.
And maybe one full day , we can just kick back and eat pizza and do nothing but be together!

one word for spring break: BUBBLES!!! We are going to go bubble crazy and take them everywhere. Who doesn't like to see bubbles floating in the breeze towards the bright blue sky :) So all of our adventures that week will have bubbles toted along that we plan on using to bring some smiles from strangers and some happy spring thoughts to all! I wonder how much more fun grocery shopping will be with a mini bubble session before we go in :)

We're planning on going to have a theatre run this spring break. Wicked, Hairspray, Thriller, Grease, We Will Rock You. I'm getting whisked away next weekend too, to a secret location! All I know is that I'll need my passport!

A visit to the Mayfield Dairy plant to see how our favorite milk and ice cream are made. All the kids (4, 6, 18...and his girlfriend) and me, 46, are more excited than we should be about this little hour and a half trip to Athens, TN. No telling what else we'll get into. We'll probably try to pick a day for a picnic at Papa's cabin and a nature walk for dear me to get some photos of the 3 kiddos together (might use these as a MOther's Day gift).

So, not anything exotic, extensive, or expensive...just good, clean fun.

And, I really, really {heart} your jewelry design so, so much.

Well as homeschoolers, we took our spring break last month and headed to Florida for warmth and sunshine. Our highlights were our free day at the Magic Kingdom (Disney's give a day, get a day), Sea World, Daytona beach and watching the Olympics for the first time in 10 years (no tv). It was wonderful. Our "other" (and shorter) spring break will be spent watching spring unfold here in Northern MN. Have fun!

I just got laid off. And it has left me feeling a wee bit uneasy; not to mention that my confidence has suffered quite the blow.

So even though I don't technically have a job to take a spring break from, I figure that I will "take a week off" from my jobless melancholy and focus on something positive and happy and lovely: my crafting.

I will spend a week knitting and sewing and creating. I think that the act of creating those beautiful little somethings will help boost my confidence bit by bit.

Well, we homeschool and we have no money since we just spent many thousands on a glamorous drainage system hidden under our basement floor...so it wasn't even on my radar that spring break was coming up. Hmmm...so many possibilities, though. We will probably organize closets or maybe clean the garage. Ooh, or we could reorganize the kitchen cupboards. More likely, though, my 5 kids and I will visit our current favorite past-time of building pulley and rope systems between trees in our yard.
Thanks for the giveaway. I'd love to see my kids' names on one of your beautiful necklaces!

My husband will be getting back from a special military training class right before our Spring Break - he would have been gone for 5 weeks and since he'll be missing our son's 4th birthday, we plan to hit up Disneyland (only 40 minutes away from us!). I'm enjoying my last Spring Break as a college student by road tripping to Chicago with 9 of my best friends! Yep, I'm leaving my fiance behind and having a week with just the girls! Being the broke college kids that we are, we're on a very tight budget ...but it ends up that Chicago (and Route 66 leading to Chicago) has a lot of VERY random free adventures. For example, did you know that there's a modern day Sistine Chapel ...made with Precious Moments characters? Yep, I'm pretty darn excited about everything this week will hold.

It is just me and the kiddos at home for march break. We are going to do crafts each day to a different theme. One day we are making pirate hats and eye patches, next day we are doing princess tiaras. We have bird houses to be painted, and I told my girls they can go to my sewing room, and pick out a dress pattern they would like me to make them, and then we are going to go to the fabric shop, where they can pick out their own material, and accessories. I can't wait to see their own designs. Hopefully we'll get a few warmish days here as well, and we can enjoy the outdoors too.
Happy spring break everyone.

I'm not being too adventurous since I am 6 months pregnant (last race/jog of the pregnancy today) but I am gonna teach a couple of friends to drive manual on the back roads of our county. We have an old Subaru we plan to get rid of now that winter is over and figure why not? Chicks who can drive stick are sexy and it is a good skill to have.

I recently graduated from law school so I don't get a Spring Break now that I work full-time. But I'm going to enjoy a long weekend with my husband celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary on Friday. I told him I wanted a Vintage Pearl necklace for an anniversary gift so to win one of the gift cards would be perfect.
We are going to dinner and then to see Alice in Wonderland. Then Saturday I am going to enjoy spending he entire day with my son Benson, just Mom and son time.

Ok, so it's not spring here, but I am having a little break and I am getting ✩✩✩creARTful✩✩✩ :0)
I've been searching and bidding on vintage Kodak Duaflex camera's on ebay...woohoo, I will soon hold in my hands a little box of new exciting possibilities. I'm teaming it with a black box like contraption and my DigitalSLR to capture scenes around our region (if you've seen Baz Luhrmann's 'Australia', you've had a glimpse of parts of my little corner of the world!)

Apparently it's known as Through The Viewfinder~TTV~ technique.
...you can check out this flicker group if you like...

The pic's I have seen have a dreamy vintage look to them and are in a square, 6x6, format and appear to create a vignette around the shot!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
It's not all about me though, I'm inviting my 14 year old, 'budding photographer' daughter, along with me so we can have some good old one on one. Mother/Daughter time. Time to chat, to just 'be' together. She's a good photographer, very good, and I love that we share the same passion for photography. She sees it as a potential career and I'm all for encouraging our kids to pursue their dreams. I absolutely can't wait.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Thanks for your generosity Erin.
Cheers

I have 6 teenagers and young adults. Our favorite family activity is to go on a photo scavenger hunt through the neighborhood.

We have a list of random things or scenes that each person (or group) has to capture with their camera, and be the first one done and back at the designated meeting place to win!

It always turns out WAY more fun than it sounds. WE come back with some VERY unique and personal shots.

HAPPY EASTER!

For spring vacation I left my two sweet babies with my husband and headed to Fairbanks Alaska to visit my best friend. We have visited a glass blowing studio, an international ice sculpting competition, and threw a house warming party at her new home she designed. One more big activity for the week is to go cross country skiing while being pulled behind a sled dog. Between all of these activities, I am trying to finish reading Pride and Prejudice. Oh and the temp. is hovering around 0! I love spring break!
