the hanger.

I was cleaning out my purse yesterday
(it had gotten pretty hairy,
sometimes at that point I just give up and buy a new purse
to avoid the cleaning-
anyone else do this?)
and to my amazement I found a toddler sized hanger in there.

I immediately thought,
"wow, that is the weirdest thing I have ever found in my purse."

(or maybe the stale curly fry from Arby's I found last year is weirder?)

And then I wondered,
"how did I not know it was in there?"

:)

What's the weirdest thing you have found while cleaning out your purse?

an oil filter. (new - not used)... I bought it...couldn't find it...ended up buying a new one. Then, I discovered it at the bottom of my purse about a month later.

Wow, a hanger beats all of mine. I have a few.

A piece of sidewalk chalk...during winter when the chalk is put away.

A big honkin' pair of needlenose pliers with bright red & blue rubber handles (seriously at least 8in long). I carried them around for almost 2wks. My dad gave them to me as a 'gift' when I was up visiting. He called wondering why I hadn't thanked him for his gift.

And yesterday I was out grocery shopping with my youngest & found a can of playdoh (with no lid). He told me he put it there in case he got hungry. After a long conversation on things not to eat my son looked up at me & said "That's a good joke, right mommy? Ya know I was just joking about eating play-doh" He is 3 and a half. When we got home he went screaming up the walkway "I got mommy, I got mommy good!"

This was great to read. :) I second Christy. An old diaper. And more then once. But they're always rolled up in a ball all neat and nice-like.

Oh man I'm happy to say that my worst is a french fry. Of course I may have blocked out some horrific memory that will come back to haunt me tonight in my sleep.

A hanger is for sure the oddest thing I've ever heard of! At least the lady with a dirty diaper makes some sense..although that is pretty bad! Ewww! I left one in the car once, in the summer....I live in Southern California. Bad! Very Bad!

Not my purse, but my mother was in the hospital once, asked me to get something out of her purse, I saw this weird 'official' looking paper in there, asked her what it was. She had me hand it to her. It was my younger brother and sister's birth certificates folded up together, they were twins. She's had it in there for 23 years! HAHA, just kept moving them from purse to purse. Lord!

Oh I am laughing so hard at the hanger in the purse! My dad says every year my mom's purse gets bigger; he says by the time she's 60 she'll need wheels like its luggage! I think he's right. I have found everything from toy trains to screwdrives in my bag!!!!

One time I found a set of measuring spoons. They were metal and quite heavy. I had received as a Christmas gift from my parents in NY and had placed them in my purse to fly back home to SC. It was months later that I realized they were in there. No wonder my purse was so heavy.

Now that was funny! I have so much stuff in my pocketbook, I don't even know what would be considered weird!

That's hilarious!! I was at the post office not too long ago and the guy behind me asked if I had a pen. I didn't find a pen, but I did find an old cookie. The guy couldn't stop laughing!

That's funny! I found a sports bra in my purse once. It was mine of course, not used thankfully, but who knows why I had it in there!

When my kids were little the diaper bag always had little "treats" at the bottom. :)

A box of leftovers (small box...) but still. I was baffled! A few weeks after I had eaten there.

I totally do that! have 2-3 purses filled with receipts, wrappers, toys, & who knows what else, in my closet! My hubby is a dentist & pulled my wisdom teeth a few days ago, & guess where my teeth are....Yep, in my purse (they are in a baggie, not free floating)! I wanted to bring them home to show my kids (who are interested in stuff like that), & forgot that they were in there until I read your post!

HaHa! I once found a pair of my daughter's underwear in my purse. It was at least a clean pair, and I had thrown them in a few weeks before to put on after her dance class. Guess she went commando that day...dunno!
