Last night Jill, Jessica and I drove an hour up to Bartlesville to meet The Pioneer Woman...
We sampled some of her recipes she brought (yum!), snagged a pic of Marlboro Man, went to eat at Chili's while we were waiting for our turn, came back and still sat and talked and laughed for hours (we can get pretty silly!) while waiting our turn and were the very last ones in line to meet her... then we got pulled over by a police man on the way home- what an adventure!
Her cookbook is AMAZING and she is a DELIGHT!
I bought an EXTRA cookbook and asked her to sign it and we are giving it away, along with a sweet "kiss the cook" necklace to match!

I have to admit, I do get kissed (and hugged:) a lot for cooking for my 6 kids and hubby. I made cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa last night and I felt like a million bucks! They couldn't have given me anything else that would have made me feel better than their compliments...and hugs and kisses (of course)!

I'm elated to hear that you are familiar with the pioneer woman! My mommy has been wanting that cookbook for a very long time. I can see her now on Thanksgiving day, tired, sweaty, and trying to remove the plastic stuff from -both- ends of the turkey after it has cooked for an hour. I just discovered your site via the Pioneer Woman's. I just fell upon hers this week and just about killed myself to cook about 5 of her recipes downloaded from her site this week.
