a moment of silence please...

my favorite camera lens has broken...

When it hit the wood floors and busted apart, tears sprang to my eyes, I was so bummed. Tessa saw me and said,

"Don't worry Mommy, Jesus is so strong and He can fix anything! Just bring your camera to heaven with us and He will fix it for you."

"Thank you Tessa, you're right."

"And you have to let Him fix it," she continues, "because it's my favorite lens. It's so small and cute. And we will need it in Heaven so we can take pictures."

I had no idea she was such a fan of this particular lens!

So, for now, I am 50mm lens-less.

I will miss you dearly, sweet lens...

I said a little prayer for you and your camera. Who knew that Jesus was also a camera repairman. He really can do anything. Your Tessa is so precious.

Take care,
Lisa

Girl... I feel your pain! I was preparing for a photo shoot and knocked over my tripod, let's just say the word Canon no longer graces my pop up flash! I thought it was a goner! My lens was safe surprisingly... Gave me a good excuse to get a 580ex ii though! ;P

Oh Erin, I'm so so sorry! Glad that there was sweetness mixed in with the bitter though.

I feel your pain...as I waited more than a YEAR for mine and the first week it was home, the SAME THING HAPPENED to me. Sitting where it shouldn't have been sitting, my hubby was strong arming a piece of furniture and down it went. SIGH....

I did the SAME thing to my same lens two months ago!!! Tripped and dropped the whole camera! Chad kept saying, "At least the camera's not broken", but he just didn't get it!

I bought the 50mm 1.4 to replace it - not only is it metal, but the quality of photos is so much better. I used google to get the best price (ended up getting it at amazon), and it was so worth it!
