the clouds.

This last week and a half of school has been super busy with field trips, award assemblies, talent shows and field olympics-- exhausting!

Just 1 1/2 days of school left!

And at the same time we have been having some crazy weather,
it's tornado season and we live in "tornado alley",
which means we've been hanging out in the living room alot
with the weather on just in case a tornado pops up close to us
and we need to head to our "storm closet".

Our last 4 baseball games have been canceled because of this crazy weather.

The clouds are beautiful,
but what comes with them can be scary!

Our hearts go out to those in Joplin, MO and El Reno, OK and others that have been recently hit by tornadoes. TVP will be donating to the relief organizations to help those that are in need right now.

We just had clouds like this the other day here in Minnesota. Beautiful, but like you said, real scary at the same time. My family and I are heading down to Oklahoma today and were suppose to be driving through Joplin, but with the recent damage there, we decided to take another route so we don't interrupt efforts there. Definitely thinking of everyone there and those affected El Reno!

i found a relief organization that gives directly to Joplin.. but do you know of any ones in oklahoma where i can directly give to el reno and the other parts of oklahoma that were hit bad? Which organizations are you giving to?

I was on the edge of my seat all evening. I have family in every part of Oklahoma, not to mention a ton of friends. Thank the Lord, all were safe, but it was touch and go for a long while. The tornadoes were close to many that I know. TX is also in the tornado belt, but so far this year we have been drier than dry.

glad you are safe

Hugs,
Carrie

Oh, yes, the clouds have been beautiful! But the weather is creepy. And it always happens at night. *sigh*

Glad you're okay!

Great pics! I agree that the weather has been especially nutty this year. I think it has everyone in tornado prone areas kind of on edge whenever we see those tall dark storm clouds moving in.
