My favorite piece is the stamped bird pendant with the dainty pearl (top left). As an English teacher, one of my favorite poems to share with students is Emily Dickinson's "Hope". The first stanza reads, "Hope is the thing with feathers, That perches in the soul, And sings the tune--without the words, And never stops at all." The poems speaks of grace and humbleness to me and is one I hold dear. I love the personification of hope being like a bird, singing the tune of hope, which is what I think of when I see the bird on this necklace.
