ROAD TRIP!

road trip

Friday afternoon we decided to jump in the car
(we've been very last minute planners lately!)
and we took a road trip down to Dallas for the weekend,
and spent all day saturday at Six Flags.

We rode lots of roller coasters and rides,
(we splurged for the Flash Pass- no waiting in lines, soooo worth it!)
played some games
(even Eden won a stuffed animal all by herself!)
swam in the hotel pool, watched a few movies,
and Jonah lost a tooth!

Great family time, can't wait to go again :)

* * *

We've been scoping out all of the best amusement parks
with the best roller coasters in the US to plan future vacations for,
do you have a favorite one?

First off, I have to say, I love your blog and all of your jewelry. It's so delightful!!

Second, Kennywood in Pennsylvania (http://kennywood.com/). That is my favorite Amusement Park. I think it's a blast!

Well, we live 45 minutes from Disney World - so we tend to make last-minute trips there... we LOVE the Rockin' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios. :) --also, Busch Gardens (in Tampa) has FANTASTIC roller coasters... we love them!

Hershey Park in Hershey, PA! Amazing rides, Chocolate World, and um...it smells like chocolate. Does it get better than that?

I'm also recommending Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. Top Thrill Dragster is a think your gonna die, might as well pee your pants, scared our of your mind kinda ride. But so much fun when you realize that you didn't die or pee your pants. :)

I am totally in love with Shiekra at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. Every spring I take 40+ high school seniors down from Michigan for their senior trip and we ALWAYS go to Busch Gardens & the 1st ride we hit is Sheikra.
Cedar Point, which is closer to home, has some awesome ones too, but still love Sheikra!

Nothing compares to Cedar Point if your looking for RIDES, if your looking for fluff and frills and animation there are lot's of parks but by far Cedar Point has everyone beat!

Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH is the best amusement park. It is right by Lake Erie so you could make it a very special trip. They also have something like the Great Wolf Lodge there too.

Disney World. It's more than just an amusement park. It's magic. Fantasy. The stuff dreams are made of. :)

I know it's an awful long way - but you really need to check out Knoebels in Elysburg, PA. They are an old fashioned "Picnic Grove Park" with no entrance fee. AND they have GREAT coasters. There are rides for kids of ALL ages. www.knoebels.com They also allow you to bring your own food. But thier award winning food is not that expensive. You can also camp there. It's a great experience.
