what I'm praying {for 2011}

Our new vintage scripture necklace
is perfect for the New Year-
is there something you are praying and believing for this year?

It might be wisdom,
guidance,
healing (physical or emotional),
financial breakthrough...

whatever the need, this necklace is a great reminder.

vintage scripture necklace

It would also be a sweet gift to a friend,
to let them know what YOU are praying for them.
(I know I would love to know!)

My scripture for 2011 is Psalm 46:10:

"Be still and know that I am God."

I'm praying and believing to get better
at listening to and trusting in Him always,
even through the bumpy patches,
and to not stress over the small stuff,
because He is in control (not me!)

* * *

What are you praying for?

Many things, restoration, closeness to Him, kindness of spirit, wisdom....man do I need to learn to "be still". Our Worship team at my church as an awesome song based on that scripture on iTunes, look them up.

I am praying for this family: http://aforwardandafighter.blogspot.com/

For them there is no cure, and very little time left with their sweet girl.

It would be a wonderful thing if your readers would include them in their prayers as well.

Oh, I love that verse (and that necklace)! We have it on our living room wall.

I'm always praying for our six-month-old daughter, and for us, that we raise her up to know God and for my husband and I to be good examples for her.

1 Samuel 1:27 "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him."

I am clinging to 1 Corinthians 6:19...

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

In October, I decided I needed to make a life change and wanted to lose weight.... even through Thanksgiving and Christmas, I have lost 23 pounds! I have this verse written on the chalkboard in my kitchen, in my office and anywhere else I think I might need it. It's hard to lose the weight, but it's easier knowing that my body is a temple!

I love your new piece!

Happy New Year

I love this Psalm. I have a terrible time with being still (physically and mentally!). I'm working on a small quilt and I am planning to quilt it using the text of this Psalm.

Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

This is on our living room wall. It's a constant reminder to know that Jesus is our true treasure, living in our hearts. What an eye opener on those rough days.

I love this. For our anniversary, I bought a leather cuff from TVP with Proverbs 3:5 engraved on it. He loves it. Maybe he will get me something like this for a gift sometime. :)

Mine is Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

It was my Uncle's favorite verse when he was fighting cancer, and it gave us a sense of peace when he ultimately lost his battle. It's hard to remember, but comforting to know that He has a wonderful plan!

Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

He has carried me through a difficult fall and I am praying for Jesus tunnel vision, that I may see through Him in all I do.

I really really like this necklace. I'm starting the year off praying for strength, patience, and wisdom. For me, they're all related.

I'm praying for determination with our new financial goals (get out of debt!), praying for wisdom as my daughter grows up (she's 10 months old), and praying that God gives us peace in the midst of a crazy ministry life!

aw that's my favorite verse! I love that you can read it in pieces and it's still so powerful:

Be
Be Still
Be Still and Know
Be Still and Know I Am
Be Still and Know I Am God

:)

In 2011 I'm praying for another chance to start our family. And for grace. Lots and lots of grace.

my health is a little in question at the moment and we won't have answers for probably a month. that makes a momma of 6 a tad anxious. overall i feel peace, but not 100% of the time. so, i'm praying for a good word at the appt next month and for peace until then. psalm 46.10 is fabulous no matter what your life situation.
another beautiful piece! full of talent, you are!!
blessings,
shana

My daddy is leaving for Iraq next month. He will be there for 1 year - with no vacations to come home. Amazingly, God has given me a since of peace about this... I do not feel anxious... but I am praying that as soon as that date comes when he leaves, I will still have this sense of peace about it - and that he is protected while abroad. I know that God is using my daddy to do great things... and I have comfort in knowing this... but still praying for continued peace.

I'm praying for God to give me another child. I know that God put me here to be a mom but hoping his plan was for me to have more than one...do dogs count?

Praying for another baby...have been trying for a year with no luck. I know that God has a plan for me but I also know that my purpose is to be a mother. I hope his plan includes another...but I do have two dogs...do they count?

So beautiful.
I had a really rough 2010, so I'm praying to be stronger and getting back on track this year.
The verse you chose made me tingle, it's a verse that has helped me get through the past 6 months.

That's a great verse...one I need to be reminded of every day. My prayer for this year is to become closer, more intimate with God and sense His every move - when He's directing us & when it's time to wait.

Beautiful!

I'm praying for my husband's full healing after his stroke. He's been doing so amazingly since Nov. when it happened and we have been so blessed by God in this event. If it was going to have to happen, this is the time and place for it to be so. I am still and know that He is God.
