Last week Eden and I went to Hobby Lobby.
Eden refuses to sit in a cart.
She says "I walk with you , mommy."
So I let her walk with me, and we browse together.
She spots a football.
And she picks it up.
And before I can stop her, she throws it.
It was a football piggy bank. A ceramic one.
It broke into a million pieces.
She thought it was just a regular football.
She was surprised, but fine.
And I now have $14.99 less in my bank account with nothing to show for it :)

My daughter did the same thing with a fairy princess piggy bank @ Target. They wouldn't let us pay for it though...I think they must know how much money I spend there. LOL!
hahahahaha.
i'm sorry you had to pay for it, but it made for very funny story :)
Funny and cute, but not if it was my bank account!!
Awww! So sorry! That's a good story for the baby book- a funny story is worth more than $14.99!
they made you pay for it???? wow. guess its back to the cart! Or stroller with snack :)
Oh my gosh! This is SO going to happen to me one day REALLY soon! :) Thanks for the laugh :)
That is the funniest thing I've heard all day!!
OH MY GOSH Erin.. my little Noah did the SAME exact thing yesterday at hobby lobby! Thankfully they didn't make us pay for it. That is hilarious they both did that.
Oh no! lol My boys have thrown so much stuff in stores. I'm always so worried about them breaking something. The worst that they have done so far is to throw a hot wheel out of the car window while I was driving down the highway. Thank God it didn't cause a accident!
Oh no! My daughter did something similar in a scrapbook store a few years back, with a package of chalks; however, they weren't all completely broken, so I paid for them & took them home. I don't think I've ever used them though.
It's always a funny story when YOU are the one standing there with YOUR child!! Thanks for the laugh.
Awwwww - well bless her little pea pickin' heart!
The joys of shopping with a little one. This will be a story that will become family lore. :o) La
I know what you mean! My son pulls out almost everything he sees off the shelves at Joann's... the ladies there already know him! It's endearing but so much work sometimes!
that is SO something my kids would do! So sorry!
That is such a cute picture!
My daughter can't walk yet but I am nervous about the day she demands to walk in the store not ride in the cart! :)
oh goodness... but... these are the things that make for good baby-book-entries {and blog posts!} ;)
Haha! That's funny, but not! Makes for a cute story, though!
I can't wait to have kids. Seriously. :)
I have ALWAYS said that Hobby Lobby is my least favorite store to take kids! I avoid taking my kids there if at all possible :-) You can tell Eden that story her whole life! Thanks for sharing!
She is WAY too cute!
