a monday prayer.

Been a little stressed lately...
feeling like too much to do and not enough time to do it all.

A little overwhelmed.

And I've really been missing my Mom.
I'd give almost anything to be able to just pick up the phone and call her.

Praying for God to take over,
a little more healing in my heart
and for this week to go smoother :)

The randomly picked winner of the i love you necklace is:

Caryn, who said:
I love the lower case around the edge! When my oldest son was born with severe heart defects we started teaching him to sign I love You at about a year old so even if he was intubated he could still tell us, and see us tell him we loved him!

Email us Caryn!

The "I sign I love you" necklace will be available later today on the unique page!

i hear you. my brother is leaving for afghanistan this friday.. and i am terrified.. and it has been making me miss my mom even more. she passed away 4 years ago from cancer at the age of 42. and it's been hard with me being the only girl out of 5 & not having my mom. and i am trying my best to trust that God will take care of my brother. and i'd love nothing more than to call my mom.. or hug her & hold her soft hands.

Huge hugs Erin, it has been 3.5 years since I have been able to call my mom and it is still hard on me. But both of us are blessed with a special guardian angel watching over us. It doesn't get any easier but it does get less painful.

Oh Erin.

I'm sorry you are feeling blue. Your life has been so busy with trips and the store that you haven't had a chance to stop and take a breath.

After almost 12 years, I still miss my mom. The healing is slow, but it will come. I will be thinking about you. La

(((Hugs))) Erin. We all could stand to step back, take a deep breath, and just be. I have been guilty of taking on too much lately myself. Thanks for the reminder. I am fortunate to still have my mom around...and yes, I need to call her! My Granny was very special to me though, and on days like things I find a few moments to "talk" to her. Surprisely...it's as if she is right here next to me. Just remember, your mom is never far.

I'll be praying for you this week.

Your photo made me smile: When my children were younger (3 or 4 years old), if they saw a cloud like that, they would exclaim, "Look Mommy, a heavenly light cloud!!!"

Thank you all, your sweet words have brought tears to my eyes :)

Oh Erin, your post brought tears to my eyes. I lost my Mom 12 years ago and there are still days when the urge to call her is overwhelming. When I feel like that, I try to do something good in her name - some small act of service for someone else that makes me feel closer to her because she was such a giving person. Then I write what I would have told her in my "Dear Mom" journal, it helps get my feelings out and gives me peace. Anyway, keep on truckin!! Next week will be better!

You are in my prayers. You must be so strong to pull through all this. Your momma is watching over you :) HUGS!

Sending good thoughts and prayers your way, Erin.

I love, love, love the "I love you" necklace. Can I make a suggestion? Would you ever think of making something similar with Braille? My youngest daughter is ten months old and completely blind. I do so solemnly swear I would buy the very first one. :) Anyway, just putting it out there.

Love all of your amazing creations and happy to be a loyal customer!

Courtney :)

Erin- Thoughts and prayers are with you. The picture that you posted with your prayer is breath taking. Focus on that and little by little the Lord will lift the sadness and burden on your heart.

Caryn- Congrats on winning. What a beautiful comment that you left. I am so happy that it went to someone who has true meaning of the sign.

I am right there with you ..... my Mom died in 1988 but every day I wish I could call and chat like we used to...

Oh, you're speaking to my heart today...I know that overwhelming feeling - all of a sudden you are just sure you can't do it all, it won't work out, there's just too much..usually for me talking about it helps - so maybe your blogging about it will ease the feeling. I have to tell myself that my true, honest, best job will be ok - I usually take a breath and count to 10... or 50 depending on the situation!

As a person who also lost her mom this year (you guys made necklaces for our family to remember her) I understand your Mom feelings also - my heart goes out to you. It is one of the most difficult adjustments that I have ever made.

With warm thoughts, and hope for easier days.

so sorry that you are feeling stressed, and that you don't have that ear to share it with.

here's a prayer that i offer up every day (it's on my bathroom mirror)

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness and we feel our weakness & helplessness,
give us the sense of your presence, your love, and your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust in your protecting love, and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten us or worry us,
for, living close to you, we shall see your hand, your purpose, your will through all things.

-St. Ignatius

I lost my dad 9 years ago. I would give anything to hear his voice! People say that it gets better with time but I think we just lern to live with the pain. It becomes a part of us, letting us know that person was real. I want to say it gets easier, but I won't lie! But I will say God will help you live through it so you can one day be with your mom again.

There are MANY days that pass that I wish I could call my mom, too. It's really hard, especially since she was my best friend. The worst is when I forget she's no longer with us & it takes everything in my power to remember if it was all just a dream.

Lean on your support system & most importantly, God! He will get you through & make you see life in the most amazing ways.

I, too, wish I could call my mom. She was promoted to heaven a year and 11 days ago. I can promise you that it gets easier. And this is coming from someone who truly considered her mom one of her best friends.

I still miss her and the one year anniversary of her death was particularly difficult. Bittersweet if there ever was a word to describe it. Just keep on holding on . . . it will get better.

I don't know what it feels like to be without a mom but I did lose my dad in a horrible car accident when I was 16(the accident killed all 5 people involved). So I do understand the whole that is left in your heart and the terrible pain you feel when you just for a split second place your hand on the phone to share some good news with them...only to stop and remember they are no longer just a call away.
Many prayers for you during this time. I hope you find peace and comfort in the fond memories you have.

My mother's birthday was a couple of weeks ago. It is one of the times of year that causes me to feel deep sadness that she is no longer here with me. I've noticed though that when I feel this way, so blue thinking of her, mysteriously butterflies surround me. Last week I thought of her while driving and hundreds of butterflies appeared out my car window fluttering by the flowers in the median. My mother is close. I can feel her. Bless you.

Hi Erin! I am a "new" fan of yours. I love your products and how you share your faithin your blog posts! I found you "via" the Dear Lizzy blog. Your thoughts on missing your mom touched me as I have lost my mother. She was taken to be with our Lord way to soon for me, but then I am pretty selfish about that topic!I totally understand and wish I could make the pain of a loss like that go away for all! Keep up the amazing creativity on your jewlery and photographs....love em' all! Thanks, Lynn
