planning ahead.

With mother's day orders in full swing, I know this is going to be a busy month! For easiest family survival, planning ahead is a must!

so...

the fridge is stocked and meals are planned.

clothes/sports uniforms are washed and folded.

closets are cleaned. (out with the winter, in with the summer! LOVING the 80 degree days we've been having!)

we are ready for the week :)

I feel so much better if I get some of my "Mom duties" done ahead of time, makes it easier on Ryan and the kids when I'm working! Laundry and groceries are a big deal in our home :)

How do you plan ahead for a busy week?

**********

I snapped a quick picture of the kids on our way into church yesturday...

black and white-

or color?

Happy monday!

What an absolutely ADORABLE little family! My little girl always has the "bink" in her mouth in pictures too. There's no going around it.... and lets be honest, it's kinda cute. ;)

:) you know, I was just thinking about you this morning...about all the orders you must be getting for mother's day! -- sure to be a busy, busy time for you girls!

If I lived closer -- I would totally organize/grocery shop for you... it's something that, believe it or not, I really enjoy!

p.s. Lovely photo! I like the black and white a lot... but, I also like how the girls' dresses really 'pop' in color!

I like the black and white better...because it makes you focus in on the cute kiddos and not on the background. cute cute pic!

Love the b & w one but they are both super cute. I always have myself mentally prepared for busy days/ weeks but don't always do so well with actually getting physically organized and prepared. :D

I'm usually a B&W fan but I'm loving the colors!!

To stay straight I made myself a weekly cleaning/planning schedule that lays out everything I need to accomplish to keep the house running. It's posted on the fridge so if I don't get to something my husband can help me out.

Oh Erin, your little bugs are gorgeous and how lovely to snap them on Easter Sunday being all happy and loving. I really like the b&w....it puts the focus on their faces and still shows the prints of the girls dresses. It also takes the focus off Eden's pacifier, given its vibrant tones in the colour piccie.

Hope ya'll had a fabulous Easter! My church had such big celebrations this year and and art & film festival too. xx

planning ahead is so important for the sanity of motherhood. but i have learned that from time to time God shows me loud and clear that all of my planning is good...but does not give me the 'in control' badge that i sometimes like to think i have earned.

i love the kids' picture. beautiful, awesome gifts. black and white is timeless----color is springy!

Both pics are great, but I love the POP of the color photo.

As for planning ahead, I feel well accomplished when I have a school outfit, lunch and a snack prepared the night before, with the backpack waiting at the door. It definitely makes my morning run smoother. I haven't quite accomplished planning ahead for an entire week yet, but day by day makes me smile! Bravo to you & good luck with this busy time of year in your shoppe.

Coming to see you from Blue Cricket! Cute kids- I prefer the b/w photo though the color is nice too. As for preparing for the week, generally the best I do is to make up a grocery/Target list based on the circulars and the primary dinner of the week (that gets us through about 4-5 nights.)Love your stuff!

I really like the black and white one. Black and white photos are simple, relaxing, and make you stop for a few seconds to enjoy all the blessings all around you.
