a few things that made me smile today...

watching Eden enjoy {devour} her own scoop of vanilla ice cream...

our new light glowing over the stairs tonight {love it!}...

these thighs and her socks (she loves to wear socks!)...

Tessa "teaching" Eden...

and watching Eden listen so intently knowing her big sister is wise...

When Eden smiles I can't resist a smile back...

sometimes the littlest things are what we remember best :)

what made you smile today?

this morning at 8am, while still half-asleep, my 4-yr old stepson said, "Vicki, will you hold me? I want to sleep in front of you...like really in front of you." It was so cute! He meant that he wanted me to hold him tight, but it was just adorable! A great thing to wake up to!

I smiled when I was putting our five year old son to bed and he whispered in my ear:

"Mommy, I want to marry you. Shh, don't tell anybody."

Just committed to starting a part time job (out of necessity) on Thurs which has made me cling to my 2.5 mo old tonight. Smiling as he coos in my arms and "talks" to me.

So far this morning so far - my students look of amazement while we were "planting" lima beans in paper towels/ziploc bags (hanging them in the window) & the cute little birds perched outside our classroom have made me smile - not to mention this post brought a smile to my face too!! (:

My hubby got up with our 5 month old this morning and when I came down stairs she had fallen asleep in her bouncy seat while holding his finger. He said he had been stuck there for about 20 minutes! :)

Hi Erin! I just came over from Heather's blog and I must say that you're too little girls are just darling!

Hmmm, what made me smile today? Well, I just taught myself how to crochet granny squares on Friday and I can't help but smile at the stack of them that I've already made since then! They're just so bright and cheerful and I can't wait until I have enough to crochet them together and make myself a blanket!

Love this post! Love the sister awe! Love your jewelry!

My 2-year-old has started using the potty. Every time she sits down she calls her 4-year-old sister to come watch, like it's the most amazing event on the planet, and her sister ooo's and awww's right on cue. That sister thing is so cute and so special!

I LOVE your jewelry!!! (I came over from Heather Bailey's blog.) Anyway, what made me smile today was when my daughter told me that my 3-year-old granddaughter had dragged a chair to the closet, found the dress she was blessed in at church (when she was about one-month old. She put it on--or at least she attempted to. My daughter said Olivia looked like a Tyrannosaurus Rex because she could get only her hands through the sleeve holes. Between that and her attempts to wear her 1-year-old sisters shoes at the same time, I have no doubt she resembled the dinosaur with the tiny little arms. It made me grin. :)
