spring is springing...

...the girls and I have been taking picture walks...

Ryan is gone on business tonight and I'm seriously contemplating letting the kids sleep in, stay home and play hooky at the zoo... is that totally wrong and irresponsible?

It is?

I think we may have to anyways :)

I love your pictures! Oh and I totally think you should let your kids play hooky. I think sometimes we all just need a day off to have pure fun.

Beautiful pictures! And I don't think it's irresponsible at all! Those are the kind of days the kids will always remember. So have fun!

I say go for it! :) They'll enjoy it all the more just for the fact that they'll be out of school when no one else is! Lovely pics by the way...I love a good photo walk. :)

Enjoying your blog an I love the hand stamped jewelry! Visit my blog when you get a minute. With 4 children, you probably don't have too many spare moments!

Blessings,
Patty

I'm a teacher and i say.. everyone needs mental health days. In the end the kids will still be learning.. just from you and in a new environment!

NO it is not. i understand teaching my children respect for education...but none of them will EVER have perfect attendance. those times away mean way more to me. if there comes a time that they want to choose, that's fine...for now, go make those memories!! = )

GORGEOUS shots!

Okay, so I'm late responding and I see that you already took them to the zoo (yeaaa!) - just wanted to say that when I was little my mom used to check me out of school 1 week a year so I could accompany her to one of the medical conferences she was a part of. They were always held in fun locales and some of my best memories are from those weeks, especially knowing I was getting to do something special while everyone else was at school.

Good for you, taking them to the zoo for a special family fun day! That's what making memories is all about!

The photos are FANTASTIC! I love the textured paper effect you gave to each of them. Feel free to add more photo editing tips - they are REALLY helpful & appreciated.
