little man...

Ryan is having a hard time with how fast Eden is growing up. (and trying really hard to convince me we should have another baby.)

I'm having a hard time with this guy seeming so grown up...

Caleb is 8, going on 30, I think he seems a little older each day...

it's fun, yet sad...

he still likes to snuggle at night... and he still calls me "mommy"... but I know that one day he won't...

he's into sports, playing them and watching them on tv, starting to know what players are on which teams... he has opinions, he debates with us, and quite honestly comes up with some really good points at times...

and he stays up at night reading... right now he's reading the chronicles of narnia...

I love the boy he's becoming but it's so hard to let go of the "baby".

One of the things I love most about being a mom is that you'll NEVER have to let go of the "baby"! I'm well into my 30's and my sis is just a few years this side of 30 and my mom still grabs us to snuggle and tells Da'Gorgeouses we're her two babies! We might pretend we don't like it, but it sure feels nice to be loved like that!

Hugs & Blessings!

Great shots. You are so lucky that Ryan wants a big family. I wish we were having a couple more. But alas, I don't think it's in the cards.

What a sweet boy he is - and you never know, he might still call you "mommy" for longer than you think! :) I'm 18 & I still call my parents mommy & daddy...and I never plan to call them "mom" & "dad"...it just doesn't sound right to me.

I totally understand! My littel man will be 8 next month and he is just the same. WAHHH! I LOVE my baby boy but so excited to see him growing into a little handsome boy! Caleb is just a doll! I agree you should have another one, ha! You have such adorable babies! :0) Tabitha

...ok, i'm ready to sit on the floor and have a huge cry. my baby just turned 15 and my other baby is now into double digits...10! i'm already starting to think about college. when i take the oldest to school, i look at him and wonder where the heck did the years go? how can he be taller than me...when did he start getting a bit of wee fuzz on his face...what will i do when he leaves...our eyes met as he got his huge backpack out of the back of the suv this morning and he gave me that sweet grin that i recognized..it was once wrappped in baby fat cheeks...enjoy it while you can, time is fleeting!

It is so bittersweet, isn't it? Great things come with each age, and yet you lose great things too. You just don't realize it when people say "it goes so fast" until you experience for yourself and all of a sudden they are so grown up. He's a doll. Million dollar smile!

I'm going thru the exact thing with my 6 year old son. All of a sudden he's so grown up. It's happening way too fast for me too.

i love that he's asking for more babies already!! you can go right ahead of us again for 5, too?!

i hear you on letting the baby go. chloe is just 5 and it's breaking my heart. it is such a weird shift to be so thankful to watch them grow and still want them to be "baby" at the same time.

Crying over here! My sweet "baby boy" turns 7 next week and it has all of a sudden hit me that he only snuggles with me at bedtime anymore and when he started taking showers and asking for privacy recently i was in shock.

What cute little guy.

My "baby" is now four and a half and I am dreading the 5 year birthday. :( But it was time for our family to grow up.

My "baby boy" is 24, a policeman and married with two precious little gals. His 1 1/2 yr. old just fell and had to get 5 staples in the back of her head. I've been reminiscing about the trips to the ER with him to get stitches when he was a crazy little guy. Where in the world do the years go? I don't know but it just keeps getting better and better!
Love your thoughts and your pictures! (and the jewelry is awesome, too, if I keep looking, I'll just have to get some!)
