the tie...

today was creative dress day at school... meaning they could wear whatever they wanted.

Jonah wanted to wear a tie "like Daddy"...

unfortunately Daddy is out of town on business.

and Mommy has never tied a tie.

so we called Daddy, and he gave me directions via cell phone...

jonah aka Mr. GQ

using words like "fat side" and "skinny side"...

mommy tied his tie

and it's not perfect by any means...

but not too bad for my first try, huh?

Jonah thought it was great :)

then little sister crawled over to play...

she loves her "bubby"...

loves her brother

they make me smile :)

When I was a young teenager my dad taught me how to tie a tie. At the time, I could not understand WHY, I needed to know this. Now ever time, I do, I can't help but remember that day and that special moment with him.
Your little guy is adorable.

..."Chase the rabbit around the bush and into the hole"...

Matthew McConaughey said that once in one of his movies while tying a tie. I never forgot it! Unfortunately, I don't have boys so I may never have to use it! :)

Super amazing pics, love the "bog boy" tie.

Your music - I have the same version on my ipod - one of my most played songs. Always reminds me of Dr Mark Greene on the beach in ER.

Oh, Erin -

I just started a blog dedicated to featuring etsy shops/sellers. I would love to mention your jewelry...I've sent you an email. :)
