a new rule...

I have made up a new rule for Tessa: "baby dolls are no longer allowed to go inside the book store with us, they must wait in the car."

why? you may ask.

Because it's very likely that while in the bookstore, between drinking hot chocolate and reading her TinkerBell magazine, Tessa's baby will get hungry.

(some of you already know where I'm going with this one, don't you?)

And being the good mommy that she is, Tessa will want to feed the hungry baby right away.

So she will hike up her shirt and stick baby to her chest. And "nurse" her in the middle of the bookstore cafe, totally unaware of the snickers and giggles around her.

Leaving the adult with her speechless and not quite sure what to do about the situation...(sorry Mom!)

Therefore, I have decided it's best baby dolls just wait in the car for us :)

What a cute story. Tessa will make a good Mommy when she gets older and her daughter will probably do the same things as Tessa :-)

My oldest daughter has done that plenty of times and I just turn beat red and smile.

aw, so cute. i can totally relate and very much understand the rule. my 3 year old has often said, "baby is so hungry...she needs her boobie" while pulling up her shirt. hehehe!

Just imagine that only insert my son, Tate, who used to do it all the time when he was 2 after I had my daughter Avery! We had to explain that daddies can't feed babies like mommies can! LOL!

I've only ever posted for your giveaways, so I'm delukring a bit here...

That's too funny!! Kids are cute... but ugh, how odd for the 'adult in charge!'

Because of your fun stories, and of course, awesome giveaways (!), I left you an 'award' over on my blog...

I so know that feeling but in my situation is was my boys!! that were pulling up their shirts to nurse their baby dolls. (which we bought one for each when a new baby was born so they could have their own) Mostly their "nursing" took place in the home. We had the rule of no dolls out of the car because we had a Toy Story situation of my son's Woody doll being left sitting at a table in IKEA. We found him eventually. Phew....that could have been disastrous! :o) Thanks for sharing...Amy

That's just as fun as when the older kid yells "Mommy, the baby needs to eat your boobies!!!" really loud in the store or in church. ;-)

P.S. I'm loving your spoons! What an original idea! :)

Aw, that's sweet. And I love that a whole generation is being raised to believe that breast feeding is natural!
