hardy har har...

This is the THIRD time this has happened.

The first time was in an aisle at Wal-Mart.

The second time was in line at Wal-Mart.

Today it happened at the zoo...

Tessa sees a lady wearing a bandana on her head. So she announces (quite LOUDLY, of course):

"look Mommy! It's a PIRATE!!!"

The lady is never happy about this and I just want to melt in embarrassment...

Aaaah! That's so stinking cute!
We were doing some painting the other day and I had a bandana on my head. I wish that a kid had said that when I went to the store. I totally would have said, "Aaaaar! Ye better be a good little lass. Ye hear?"

You'd think anyone cool enough to wear a bandana would be cool enough to see the humour in that!

Older gentlemen with long beards and big bellies aren't always fond of being called Santa Clause either. Kids! Yesterday my four year old asked my aunt why she had two chins! Ahhh!

So funny...yet, not so funny! Mine did something similar when she was a man in an electric wheelchair with a patch on one eye. "Look mom, he's dressed up like a pirate! Why can't I wear dress-up clothes to the grocery store?" The worst part, he was not amused then we saw him two weeks later and she said the same thing!

I have to tell you, I was LOL at that! If the banadan fits...wear it!

Next time, answer loudly, "We love Pirates, don't we!" :D

When Nicole was about 4 she asked loudly (also in Walmart) that "why does that lady have black skin?" I could feel my face turn three shades of red! Thankfully I had the presence of mind to say "Because God made all sorts of differently colored people"... as I ducked quickly into the next aisle!

lol. It's just a bandana -nothing rude about her saying anything. I think it's funny.

Your kids are hilarious. I love the story about the boys and hair under the arms. I told my husband and he laughed too.

Take care,
Lisa

That gave me a chuckle for sure. Gotta love kids and all the funny things they come up with.
